What’s a “strategy group” you ask? Simply put, we do strategy best. Whether it’s business strategy, communications strategy, content strategy, design strategy, marketing strategy or you’re just lookin’ for a couple of “brains for hire” – give us a shout.
David Romako & Josh Yeager started it all. Both native Pennsylvanians, this dynamic duo met in Arizona and a beautiful & productive working relationship blossomed immediately. There’s yin to our yang and Dave & Josh play off one another’s skill sets, personalities and experience — bringing a well-heeled, well-rounded and robust set of superpowers to the table. With intelligence, integrity and inventiveness there’s not much this team can’t accomplish.
The wunderkind of the group, David is serious, sincere and seemingly boundless when it comes to all things communications, design and technology-related. The kid’s got talent for days, and has been an overachiever since anyone can remember.
Also born in Pennsylvania, David was raised online from the early days of Gopher and continues to be an obsessive early-adopter of new tech and toys. He published his first book (on forensics) in high school and paid off his first car by ghostwriting. David become extremely active in nonprofits while at Kenyon College, and has served as a manager or officer for three large nonprofits. Prior to founding Bright Brothers, David managed marketing and communications for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix. He currently serves as the marketing faculty head for the Arizona Nonprofit Academy, and sits on the junior Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix.
When not plugged in, David volunteers at Nearly Naked Theater, writes murder mystery parties, cooks unnecessarily elaborate meals, and goes camping up north with his husband and their three-legged Jack Russell.

While he didn’t invent the Internet (that was Al Gore, right?), he has been working in digital marketing since day one. Starting in the mid-1990s, Josh kicked off his career in international sales (yes folks, he’s a polyglot), desktop publishing and working at the OG of online CD retailers. Travelling up the coast from his native Philadelphia, Josh worked in New Media in Manhattan and Boston before relocating to Arizona in 2003. With a decade plus of agency life under his belt, Josh launched Double Dutch & Company in 2010 and joined forces with Dave in 2015 to birth Bright Brothers.
Josh spearheads business and communications strategy, content creation, promotions and is definitely a relationship guy. He’s an affable, loveable smarty-pants with a bearish exterior and an empathetic inside. He cries at movies, drinks too much coffee and craft beer, and loves connecting clients with their customers with smart, snappy and intelligent content, partnerships & events.
Josh sits on the Board of Directors for the Tempe Tourism Office, is an accomplished (and crowd-pleasing) public speaker, and has donated his time to several technology advisory boards and developed 400-level digital curriculum. He’s bi-coastal and happy to meet you where your business exists.

David Romako is one of the leading experts in social media and marketing for nonprofits. I find his common sense approach to sustainable solutions not only intriguing, but very achievable. Hailing from Oregon, Julia ventured to AZ to attend Arizona State University and escape the rain. After graduating, she couldn’t bring herself to part with the sunny, warm weather and worked a number of positions ranging from makeup artist to inventory specialist to blogger before landing at Bright Brothers; making her the very first Bright Sister. Experience in social media, blogging and an involvement with local Arizona events and businesses made the transition to Bright-Brothers an easy one. She now finds herself overseeing social, PR and content creation and is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to satisfy our client’s needs.
As a fan of the local food & beer scene, Julia spends free time adventuring around Phoenix visiting new restaurants, pubs and local boutiques. When she’s not belly up to the bar with a craft beer or noshing on local fare you can probably find her outdoors, compensating for her addiction to sweets by exploring Northern Arizona, hiking Camelback Mountain or jogging through Papago Park.
Originally from the tropical isles of Hawaii, Jay relocated to Arizona in his teens and developed a penchant for the punk, darkwave and ambient music scenes. A very visually focused kinda guy, Jay has a knack with a camera and deftly dominates any social feed he manages for Bright Brothers.
His sundried experience before joining the team includes formative stints at a major national nonprofit, lifestyle brands Vans and Industrial Skate Shop, and he still wields mad tech skills for Apple, Inc. In his spare time you’ll catch this “creature of the night” sipping iced coffee at indie java joints, supporting the local music scene and pampering his canine companion Kingsley; who was also born on Friday the 13th.
