Client:                  Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport Hotel

Challenge:          As a dog-friendly hotel and member of, the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport hotel wished to showcase its travelers amenities and pet policy, while giving back to the community in turn.

Solution:             Bright Brothers contacted the Arizona Animal Welfare League, located just down Washington Street in Phoenix, AZ from the hotel and tapped their marketing manager for a community-based collaboration. Each month, the hotel‘s staff meet, choose and “adopt” a special dog to support until they are adopted. These tend to be older animals that are less likely to be adopted, who’ve been at the shelter for a while (everyone wants the puppy). The hotel then showcases the selected pet in social media, and on property with signage.  Plans are underway to add email blasts and “Yappy Hour” social mixers at the hotel to the mix.

Results:                To date, 67% of pets profiled by the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport Hotel have been adopted within a week.  Additionally, the property’s fans and followers in social media rally behind the cause, resulting in a significant increase in engagement across social channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
